- She is Coordinator / Teacher of Gifted Students for Raleigh County Schools,
Beckley, West Virginia, USA. Suzy has taught elementary gifted students for the past 20 years. She has a BS in Elementary Education and an MA in Communication Studies from West Virginia University. She is
certified to teach Elementary Grades 1 – 6, Gifted Education Grades 1 – 6, and Spanish Grades 5 – 8. Suzy is webmaster for the Maxwell Hill Elementary School web site and serves on the West Virginia
Department of Education and Raleigh County Technology Task Forces. She has received numerous awards, grants, and honours in the field of technology implementation and gifted education. Suzy is the mother of
two sons, Patrick and Douglas and has two grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew. Her husband is a Computer Coordinator for the West Virginia State Department of Education. Outside of school, her hobbies include
travelling, taking care of her three cats, studying Spanish, playing tennis and continuing professional development in education and computer technology.
